1998 Volvo S90 - Strut Replacement

This past weekend, I worked on my 1998 Volvo S90 to replace the struts. The struts already had 147,000 miles on them and were squeaking loudly on turns as well as compressing far too much. The project as a whole took one day to complete. I replaced both sides along with new boots and knuckle bolts (where the strut attached to the control arm). I needed regular tools like wrenches, ratchets and a torque wrench as well as a jack, jack stands, and a spring compressor.

The strut fully assembled! Ready to be placed back into the car.
The new strut full assembled and put back into the car.

And all done! The struts are replaced and working like new again.
